Alchemical Series
I call this work the Alchemical Series. It is an exploration of the duality between the container and the contained. It is about the miraculous power of transmuting something common into something precious. The dissolving of the container/vessel/ego into the emergence of the essence.Alchemy is about change, the total transformation of a person, substance or system. It is the great work of nature (inner and outer) that perfects chaotic matter, whether it is expressed as the metals, the cosmos or the substance of our souls.
The psychologist, Carl Jung, recognized that alchemy is a symbolic system for the transformation of the human spirit from its lead-like state of ignorance into the gold of enlightenment.
