Angels of the Kabbalah*

These Angels actually came through visions in my dreams. It was a great honor to be able to create them with mixed media into this form.

It is my hope that people view my work and feel the joy, exhilaration and liberation of their spiritual essence, a place deep within themselves where both heaven and earth meet.

Each Angel is a very specific entity encompassing the energetic aspects of the crystal properties used to create them. I have used the abundance of the earth's natural materials, stones, gems, minerals and metals, combined with pastels and paints to enhance light, texture and form, to capture a magical moment of awareness of the angelic/spirit realm. I have personally selected the crystals and stones from sacred places all over the world.

Angels connect us to the energies of the Divine. They serve as amplifiers to transmit our seemingly small and finite communication to the vast and infinite Divine Mystery.

Each of these Angels expresses a specific energetic aspect of Divine Manifestation/Will/Purpose/Love and Intellect ‚ which correspond to the same qualities in humans. Pay attention to their names, see who draws you in. In your mind's eye explore why these particular aspects attract you now. Perhaps it is that you are evoking your own potential.

Although these Angels emerged through the mystical counterpart of Judaism known as the Kabbalah, they encompass mystical manifestations from many esoteric traditions.

The Angels reconnect us to our own Divine inner ‚ "power source." This is the ultimate connection, bringing Heaven to Earth. Within this connection we recognize and embrace the magnitude of ourselves in all aspects, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual, helping us to work towards the fulfillment of the extraordinary, purposeful life intended for each of us.

It is we humans in our uniqueness who enable the Divine to experience the utmost possibilities of Itself.

It is our sacred responsibility to be; to honor and to celebrate all that we can while we are blessed with our life here on Earth.

* The term Kabbalah comes from the Hebrew word "to receive." It refers to the Jewish mystical teachings, which a disciple receives from the Rabbi.

It claims to date back to the oral teachings from the biblical patriarch Abraham.

This secret tradition lies at the root of all Jewish prayer and study - it claims to hold the maps and codes to all humanity and creation. The study of the Kabbalah seeks fundamental truths on the nature of Divinity, the creation, the origin, fate of the soul and the role of human beings. Kabbalah has as many fields and divisions as do the physical sciences. It requires decades of intense study and practice to fully understand its teachings.
